“It is the decisive moment. Nobody in the room is allowed to speak, one hardly dares to breathe. Then he drills his fingers into his muscles. The patient moans in pain. Mueller Wohlfahrt doesn´t say a word. He insists on silence. Later he will say: “I dive with my hands into the muscle. Otherwise I do not see anything. If I´m not here in front with my thougts, then I am blind. So I will stay only on the surface. If behind a muscle is a fiber tear, I can only feel it when I think into the depth and perceive what the fingertips feel.”
